DragonMotoTours - Newsletter Issue 1 - 2015

Hello and a very Happy New Year to you all. The 365 days of 2014 seem to have flown by and if you would like a quick reminder of some of the things we got up to during the year you can watch our “2014 Look Back” video which you can see on our website homepage and on our YouTube channel.

You may have seen from our website that 3 of our tours for 2015 are already fully booked – Luxembourg & Eifel in May, Bavaria, Tirol & Vosges in July and Bauges Mountains and Aosta Valley in August. We do have availability on all of our other tours, the first one being South Wales in April and if you do have one you are particularly interested in joining us on, please contact us either by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or via our website contact page.

With regard to our Ride-Outs for 2015, we shall be updating our Website and facebook page over the next few weeks, so please keep an eye out for the dates.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Kawasaki stand at MotorcycleLive in the NEC and thank you to everyone who stopped by to have a chat with us and also to all the new people we met and hope to ride with in the future. The new Kawasaki Ninja H2R starting up twice a day just around the corner from us was a real crowd pleaser and it was great to see so many young riders make a dash each morning for the arenas which gave them an opportunity to try out motorcycling for the first time. Every day the show was well attended with a real “buzz” about it which has to be good for the motorcycle industry in general.

The month of December has been a relatively quiet one for us from a riding perspective although we have been out and about on a couple of occasions – bit chilly when it was down to 2? though!! So Jan didn’t wait for Santa and instead purchased a set of Oxford handle bar mitts which might not be the prettiest accessory to her new bike but are certainly a great addition for winter riding. Geraint took Paul on a One- to-One Assessment on the 4th December and the weather held good for them and Father Christmas popped by to collect some gift vouchers for a few of you to have a Rider Assessment days during 2015. We also have to say well done to those who had their IAM tests during December. We hope you enjoyed our Advent Calendar with “doors” opening up to Christmas Eve on our facebook page, we had a lot of fun putting it together and thank you to everyone who made a guest appearance on any of the Advent days.

Looking ahead we still have availability for our Winter Social which is on the 28th February. This event is an opportunity for a “get together” rather than a tour, giving you the chance to catch up with people you have previously met on our tours and ride-outs, or you can have the opportunity to make new friends and meet people who you may be touring with during 2015. The cost of the weekend is £72.50 per person sharing a double or twin room and £82.50 per person in a single room. Included in this price is:-
- Your accommodation and use of the hotel facilities (swimming pool, gym, sauna & jacuzzi)
- A three course evening meal on the Saturday with Wine, Tea and Coffee also included.
- A full Welsh breakfast on the Sunday morning
- A presentation during dinner of some of the photographs and video footage taken during our tours and ride-outs in 2014 together with a look ahead to the touring season of 2015.

We are very much looking forward to riding with you in 2015 and wish you and your families a prosperous and peaceful New Year.

Geraint & Jan
