What better way to mark the turn of the summer solstice than with a short 3 day motorcycle tour riding on fantastic roads through the heart of Wales, a part of the UK we relish revisiting each year.

We shall be returning to a 4* hotel in Llandrindod Wells which we have used on previous tours and where we are always given a wonderful welcome.  The hotel offers spa facilities with a gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi together with superb cuisine from a hearty welsh breakfast to set you up for a day of riding to an excellent 3 course evening meal.  As we allude to above, there are some outstanding riding roads in and around Mid Wales and for this 3 day tour we shall be making the most of as many as we can.

Our meeting point will be in north Shropshire on the Friday morning with a ride through Wroxeter, an area once inhabited by the Romans, but they must have chosen to break with their tradition of long straight roads, as we take in a B class road with very flowing corners and bends!  We shall ride through the Shropshire Hills and as we cross over Wenlock Edge you will be presented with fantastic views as the roads flow towards our lunch location.  During the course of this first day we shall cross the English / Welsh border on several occasions, with an afternoon stop at Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons National Park before riding to our hotel where we shall be stopping for the 2 nights of the tour.

On Saturday we have chosen a ride-out route which will take you across the breadth of Mid Wales riding on roads with the Brecon Beacons as a backdrop and north following the welsh coastline as we ride from Aberaeron to Aberystwyth with coffee near Devils Bridge.  We shall then return to our hotel via the Elan Valley which is part of the rugged Cambrian Mountains and offers stunning views as the road winds its way along the valley floor passing dams and reservoirs.

For the last day of the tour our morning coffee stop will be in one of the many picturesque Black & White Villages which can be found on the Welsh Borders before continuing our route on great A & B class roads which we love to ride as we pass through Knighton, also known as The Town on the Dyke, before stopping for lunch in the Welsh Marches near one of the many bustling market towns in the Severn Valley.  We will end our tour on the outskirts of Shrewsbury giving easy access to main arterial routes for your onward journey home.

Total mileage for this tour will be approximately 500 miles if you join us on our planned ride-outs.
