Our first tour of 2019 sees us returning to the heart of Wales with diverse landscapes as we take you on excellent motorcycling roads through the National Parks of Snowdonia in the North and the Brecon Beacons in the South, along the Welsh Coastline and ride through the picturesque Elan Valley.
We will be based in one location for the duration of the tour staying in a 4* Spa hotel in Llandrindod Wells. The hotel offers superb welsh cuisine, ample parking for the bikes and has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym which you can avail yourself of during our stay.
Having started on the English / Welsh borders on the Thursday morning, we ride over the Berwyn Mountains which form part of the Snowdonia National Park, passing through Bala and along the shores of Llyn Celyn. The route then heads south into Mid Wales over Dylife with striking views over the Hafren Forest and Clywedog Reservoir.
We have two ride-outs planned taking you on as many of the superb riding roads in the region as we can including 20+ miles of sweeping corners and bends before riding into the Vale of Kerry, through the Welsh Marches and onto Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons National Park. We visit a whisky distillery established 30 years ago using the natural spring water from the Brecons. The ride along the Welsh coastline rewards you with views over Cardigan Bay as the coastal road ebbs and flows north before we head inland through the Elan Valley and back to our hotel.
The tour concludes on the Sunday riding along the banks of the River Wye returning into the Snowdonia National Park over Bwlch Oer Ddrwys, one of the highest mountain passes in Wales to lunch in the lakeside town of Bala. We then ride through the Dee Valley to our dispersal point at Oswestry, Shropshire.
