For this early summer tour we return to The Black Forest region of Germany, home to outstanding motorcycling roads with picturesque landscapes, mountains, forests and our family owned hotel which prides itself on excellent regional cuisine perfect for the end of a riding day.
This seven day tour will start with an afternoon crossing to France via Eurotunnel followed by a welcome dinner at our first hotel of the tour south of Calais with a ride the following day through the Belgian Ardennes to our next hotel in the Duchy of Luxembourg.
Our route to the Black Forest will take in sweeping German roads, the valleys of the Rivers Sure and Mosel, we cross into the French Alsace region and take a ferry across the River Rhine before ascending into the Black Forest and on to our spa hotel which is located in the Kinzig River valley surrounded by superb motorcycling roads. The hotel is ideally located to take in the variety of roads which the Black Forest region has to offer and is geared up for riders with the owners both being motorcyclists themselves. We are based here for three nights with two ride-outs planned, one to take in the Black Forest High Road and the other to ride through the Swabian Alps.
One of the best known riding routes in Germany is the B500 highway which traverses the Black Forest North to South, the most popular section being from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt with more than 100 corners and bends, the ride on this elevated road rewards you with fantastic views over the Rhine Valley and forests below. Our routes have been designed to give you an opportunity to enjoy not only this famous road but also to take you on rides through some of the many picturesque villages, forests and valleys as you descend either side of the High Road. We ride into the Swabian Alps a region borne out of volcanic eruptions with roads which flow through the valleys as we cross into the Upper Danube Valley for lunch.
On our penultimate day we cross the Rhine valley, into the Alsace and Vosges regions of France to our final hotel of the tour set in the heart of the Argonne Forest. That evening there will be excellent French cuisine to enjoy together with regional wine and coffee. The following morning we have a country route before picking up the autoroute near Reims, the capital of the Champagne region and ride north to Calais for an afternoon Eurotunnel crossing to the UK.
